Topic Site Tour – Construction of Mass Timber Building at UMass Amherst

Join CT Valley ASSP on a construction tour of the new Computer Science Laboratory. This 93,000 square foot building is being constructed with low carbon mass timber framing and decking, solar array, and will utilize geothermal energy for heating to hopefully achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold rating. During our tour there we will see how these mass timber components were installed, exterior walls will be getting built, and trenches for underground utilities will be open.

This event is limited to 25 participants, so please only register if you are serious about attending.

Opportunity to network over lunch will immediately follow the tour at the UMass Campus Center.
