Fall Protection Demonstration

Fall protection demonstration followed by lunch and optional site tour.

This session will feature a live fall protection demonstration led by Karl Bertelmann of B&B Construction and Safety Group. Using a specialized fall protection truck, the instructor will provide a structured overview of the ABCDs of Fall Protection, reinforcing how a complete fall protection system functions in real-world applications.

The fall protection session will be 45 minutes in duration and will focus on increasing awareness of system components, proper configuration, and readiness for tasks involving fall hazards.

Following the demonstration, lunch will be provided, after which participants will take part in a guided facility tour hosted by the Springfield Water & Sewer Commission. This portion of the program will offer attendees an opportunity to observe operational areas of the wastewater treatment facility and gain insight into facility operations, infrastructure, and safety considerations within a critical municipal utility environment. The lunch and facility tour portion of the program will be approximately an hour and a half.
